Polymers
Pokymers
Polymers are a class of synthetic resins that consist of multiple large molecules of monomers which are added to hydrocarbons like ethylene, propylene, chlorine, and many others. These come from a large range of chemicals, derivatives and additives which have a wide range of functional & aesthetic characteristics. In today’s world, polymers are the basis of majority of materials used in manufacturing, construction, packaging, apparel & footwear, furniture, and many other fields.
Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC)
Polyvinyl chloride; abbreviated: PVC is the world’s third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer (after polyethylene and polypropylene). About 40 million tons of PVC are produced each year.
Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC)
Chlorinated Poly-Vinyl Chloride; abbreviated CPVC; is an engineered thermoplastic which is made by chlorination of PVC. It is used as a replacement for PVC where it is to be used for hot and corrosive applications.
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA)
EVA is an elastomeric polymer that produces materials which are “rubber-like” in softness and flexibility. The material has good clarity and gloss, low-temperature toughness, stress-crack resistance, hot-melt adhesive waterproof properties, and resistance to UV radiation.
