Ca-based Stabilizers

Calcium-zinc based stabilizers have been used in manufacturing of PVC for over last 25 years. This type of one-pack stabilizers is replacement for lead-based stabilizers and provide high degree of clarity, good mechanical and electrical properties, excellent organoleptic properties and good outdoor weatherability. Because of these characteristics benefit, Ca-Zn based stabilizers are replacing lead-based stabilizers in a lot of PVC applications like wires and cables, window, and technical profiles (also foamed ones), and any type of pipes (such as soil and sewer pipes, foam core pipes, pressure pipes, corrugated pipes, land drainage pipes and cable ducting) as well as the corresponding fittings. Similarly, calcium-based stabilizers are also an alternative to Liquid Mixed Metals (LMM) for several flexible applications, especially for the indoor ones, when stringent air quality requirements are in place (VOC).
